Overview
VIA AMOS-3002 Fanless Industrial PC
The VIA AMOS-3002 is an ultra-compact fanless embedded system with a ruggedized chassis that provides a versatile and highly-reliable solution for a diverse range of applications, including telematics, in-vehicle control, machine-to-machine controller, digital signage, and kiosks.
Hardware
Based on the 1.0GHz VIA Eden® X2 processor and the VX900H media system processor, the VIA AMOS-3002 combines fanless operation with rich I/O and network connectivity in a robust chassis with multiple wall/table/VESA mounting options.
The system integrates an extensive array of I/O connectivity features, including two COM ports, one CFast slot, six USB 2.0 ports, including two lockable ports for increased ruggedization, one DIO port, one VGA port, and one HDMI port, as well as two GLAN ports and optional Wi-Fi and 3G networking through a miniPCIe expansion slot.
Software
The VIA AMOS-3002 is fully compatible with Windows® 7, Windows® CE 7.0, Windows® CE 6.0, Windows® CE 5.0, Windows® XP, and popular Linux distributions. Customers can take advantage of VIA’s industry leading hardware and software support, including our software solution packs and the VIA Smart ETK (Embedded Tool Kit), to create customized designs with a quick time to market.
The VIA Smart ETK provides an application programming interface (API) that makes it easy for system developers using VIA Embedded platforms to control and monitor GPIO, Watchdog Timer, Hardware Management, Flash, and other functions.
Wake On LAN (WOL) and pre-boot execution environment (PXE) are also supported, allowing the creation of a host of remotely managed IoT devices for almost any environment.
Applications
With its compact fanless design, rich networking connectivity options, and a host of extendable I/O options, the VIA AMOS-3002 provides a durable, high-performance solution for a wide range of applications in even the most demanding embedded computing environments, including telematics, in-vehicle control, machine-to-machine controller, digital signage, and kiosks.
