The VIA IVT01 in-vehicle Android Tablet integrates a MediaTek i500 Octa-Core SoC with four Cortex-A73 @ 2.0GHz and four Cortex-A53 @ 2.0GHz processors, support for full HD hardware accelerated H.265/H.264 video decoding. This powerful yet energy-efficient SoC also has an integrated AI processor featuring 2 Cadence® Tensilica® Vision P6 NPUs for computer vision, deep learning, and neural network acceleration applications.
In addition to an 8” MIPI FHD capacitive touch screen with LED backlight, the VIA IVT01 tablet supports 4G, GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The tablet also has a front camera and delivers high-efficiency audio plus ambient IR light sensing. The tablet’s side panel I/O include a Micro USB 2.0 connector, Micro SIM card slot, 3.5mm audio jack, and connectors to support CAN, RS-232, GPI (to display speed), GPIO, and 9V~36V DC-in power input.
With its small footprint measuring just 220mm (W) x 34mm (H) x 145mm (D) (8.66″ x 1.34″ x 5.71″), the VIA IVT01 can be easily installed in virtually any in-vehicle environment.

The VIA IVT01 tablet BSP supports Android 10.0. The Android 10.0 EVK package to enable the system hardware functionality can be downloaded here. A full set of software customization services that speed up time to market and minimize development costs is also available.
