Less than two months to go before Japan IT Week Autumn 2022, which takes place in Tokyo from October 26 to 28. One of the highlights of the VIA booth will be the latest additions to our growing family of VIA Intelligent Edge Solutions designed to facilitate the development of camera-based AI devices and systems for commercial, retail, and industrial applications such as smart access control, vending machines, and helmet detection.
VIA SOM-9X12 Module
At the event, we will be showing for the first time the forthcoming VIA SOM-9X12 SOM intelligent edge platform powered by the powerful octa core MediaTek Genio 1200 SoC. Designed for the most demanding AIoT applications, the MediaTek Genio 1200 combines advanced compute, graphics, and AI performance with support for the latest multimedia standards, multiple 4K displays, and superior power efficiency.
The VIA SOM-9X12 and companion VIA VAB-912 carrier board make it easy to harness the power and performance of the MediaTek Genio 1200 with their rich I/O and connectivity features, including support for up to three MIPI CSI cameras, dual MIPI DSI and HDMI displays, Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.2, Gigabit Ethernet, and optional 4G LTE. To facilitate the development of Edge AI applications we also provide a choice of Android 10 and Yocto 3.1 BSPs and EVKs.
The introduction of the VIA SOM-9X12 alongside the VIA SOM-9X35 and VIA SOM-9X50 gives us the ability to provide a complete range of intelligent edge platforms based on the MediaTek Genio SoC line covering a full spectrum of price/performance requirements.
VIA ARTiGO A935/A950 Intelligent Edge Systems
To enable customers to further speed up time to market, we will also be rolling out the VIA ARTiGO A935 and VIA ARTiGO A950 intelligent edge systems at the show. Based on the VIA SOM-9X35 and VIA SOM-9X50 platforms, these two systems reduce development times by providing reliable and stable solutions for rapid prototyping and production.
